July 3 (Tuesday) - Clasica y Moderna (Callao 892)) will feature Julia Moro singing from her last CD (Hilandera dle Viento) with musical accompaniment. Her repertoire will include tango, among other genres. (9 PM) (? pesos)
- The Legislature (Peru 160) will sponsor a concert honoring Piazzolla in the impressive Salon Dorado beginning at 7 PM. This is part of their Argentine classical music cycle. These concerts usually pack the house and it is a good idea to arrive a bit early to ensure seating. (free)
- Orquesta Tipica "Esquina Sur" together with "Quinteto Finistre" and "Patricia da Rocha y sus Guitarras Criollas" will be performing at the Teatro Verdi (Av Alte Brown 736 in La Boca) beginning at 7:30 PM. (free)
- The Salon Pugliese within the Centro Cultural de la Cooperacion (Corrientes 1543) will host its weekly tango concert beginning at 8:00 PM. This week the concert is organized by the "Revista tango Tinta Roja" that will be presenting "Historias de Tango" (30 pesos)

The repertoire will include a musical stroll through the BsAs of yesteryear, featuring Gabriel Rolon accompanied by violin and piano and emphasizing the music and verse of Borges, Piazzolla, Freud, and Garcia Lorca, among other legends beginning at 9:30 PM. Orquesta Tipica el Afronte will be performing live at the Maldita Milonga (Peru 571 in San Telmo) together with the singer Cucuza Castiello (one of my favorites). Aurora Lubiz (another one of my favorites) will be doing an exhibition. The milonga generally starts up after 10:30 PM. (Cost ?)

Bien Bohemio (Sanchez de Loria 745 eb Barrio Boedo) will host Ana Luque, Josefina Rosenwasserk, and Martin Zabala (singers) accompanied by the percussionist, Hugo Bochard, as part of their cycle - Tangos en el Alma (Tangos of the Soul) beginning at 9 PM. They will play tangos from their CD, "Eran Dos, Parecian Mas". (30 pesos). In addition this lovely and intimate space offers a small variety of homemade dishes at reasonable prices.

- Dina Emed, singer, dancer and poet is bringing her tango show, Piel de Tango, to the historic Teatro Colonial (Paseo Colon 413, corner of Av Belgrano in San Telmo) beginning at 9:30 PM. The show will include dancers and invited artists. I listen to Dina on the tango radio station on Saturday mornings. She has a wonderful voice (sweet and sensuous) in reciting her poetry and in singing. (Cost ?)
